About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Evaluate, plan, and design water, wastewater, and stormwater treatment and conveyance projects
Work on pipelines, treatment plants, and pumping facilities
Perform data analysis and prepare technical writing
Prepare engineering calculations and detailed drawings
Perform cost estimation
Coordinate with equipment manufacturers
Support project management activities
Conduct field work including site visits, sampling, water quality analysis, and equipment inventories
Support contractors through equipment reviews, answering questions, and observing construction activities
Prepare reports, presentations, and other audio-visual materials
Participate in client meetings
Ensure project compliance with Arcadis practices and quality, health, and safety standards
Facilitate coordination for timely, on-budget project completion and submission
Collaborate independently and as part of a team across the U.S. and internationally
Learn and use SharePoint, BIM, Power BI, and Augmented Reality to enhance collaboration and project delivery

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelors of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or a closely related engineering discipline)
Knowledge of engineering concepts, theories, and practices related to water/wastewater/stormwater
Strong attention to detail
Exceptional organizational skills
Diligent work ethic
Proactive approach to new projects and challenges
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated, team-oriented, and adaptable
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
Familiarity or experience with AutoCAD
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Preferred: prior work/internship experience at a design or consulting engineering firm or municipal work environment
Preferred: experience with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and/or Revit
Preferred: EIT certification
