About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Evaluate, plan, and design water, wastewater, and stormwater treatment and conveyance projects
  • Work on pipelines, treatment plants, and pumping facilities
  • Perform data analysis and prepare technical writing
  • Prepare engineering calculations and detailed drawings
  • Perform cost estimation
  • Coordinate with equipment manufacturers
  • Support project management activities
  • Conduct field work including site visits, sampling, water quality analysis, and equipment inventories
  • Support contractors through equipment reviews, answering questions, and observing construction activities
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and other audio-visual materials
  • Participate in client meetings
  • Ensure project compliance with Arcadis practices and quality, health, and safety standards
  • Facilitate coordination for timely, on-budget project completion and submission
  • Collaborate independently and as part of a team across the U.S. and internationally
  • Learn and use SharePoint, BIM, Power BI, and Augmented Reality to enhance collaboration and project delivery

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelors of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or a closely related engineering discipline)
  • Knowledge of engineering concepts, theories, and practices related to water/wastewater/stormwater
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Diligent work ethic
  • Proactive approach to new projects and challenges
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, and adaptable
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity or experience with AutoCAD
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Preferred: prior work/internship experience at a design or consulting engineering firm or municipal work environment
  • Preferred: experience with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and/or Revit
  • Preferred: EIT certification
