About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Translate ambiguous business and clinical questions into concrete, buildable data plans
  • Build data models, code, and analyses
  • Develop and maintain analytical pipelines and reusable data assets using SQL, dbt, Foundry, and AWS data lake environments
  • For analytics-engine placements, lead strategy and end-to-end ownership of productized analytics engines such as risk, medical economics, and episodes-of-care
  • Design and build predictive or risk models in partnership with Data Science for training and validation
  • Build dashboards, provider scorecards, registries, and other analytical deliverables using QuickSight and other tools
  • Maintain analytical integrity and quality; oversee analytic quality standards for senior placements
  • Manage delivery calendars, decision logs, and portfolios of concurrent customer projects
  • Surface delivery risks and tradeoffs
  • Create client-facing status decks, decision memos, and technical explainers
  • Delegate routine work to junior analysts and cross-train team members
  • Lead cross-functional analytic initiatives
  • Serve as a day-to-day customer or delivery-partner contact
  • Partner with Customer Management, Growth, Product, and Engineering on account strategy, product direction, and analytics roadmaps
  • Act as an internal thought leader and, for some placements, represent Arcadia externally at customer meetings, conferences, and in publications
  • Mentor and develop junior analysts
  • Own the long-term health of the assigned area through backlog/technical-debt management, account backup, or analytics-engine roadmaps
  • Apply AI tooling for analysis, QA, and documentation
  • Identify and implement automation, scalability, and reusability improvements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong SQL and data modeling expertise
  • Ability to translate ambiguous business or clinical requirements into a concrete data plan and build the underlying code and analysis
  • Healthcare data experience, including claims and/or clinical data
  • Familiarity with value-based care
  • Direct customer- or partner-facing experience
  • Comfortable scoping and presenting without close oversight
  • Comfortable adopting AI tooling as a standard part of an analytical workflow
  • For Lead-level placement: experience leading analytical work independently, managing multiple stakeholders, and mentoring less experienced analysts
  • Experience with dbt-based analytics engine development
  • Dashboarding experience with QuickSight or a comparable BI tool
  • Quantitative/ML fluency sufficient to build models and hand them to a Data Science team for training
  • Experience with medical economics, risk algorithms, quality data, and/or episodes-of-care analytics
  • Experience with state Medicaid programs or similar large government health programs
  • Experience in a project-based/retainer delivery model spanning multiple customers
  • Experience working within a prime contractor or partner structure on shared delivery
  • Experience presenting analytic capabilities externally
  • Python for analysis and QA
  • Familiarity with the AWS ecosystem, Jira, and Confluence
