About the role
- Establish the foundation for ARB’s government relations team.
- Work with a team of executives to grow and innovate ARB’s product offerings.
- Focus on advancing ARB’s legislative and regulatory agenda.
- Introduce and educate legislators, executive branch officials, and stakeholders about ARB’s operations.
- Lead engagement with lobbying firms, trade associations, and other political organizations.
- Develop and execute ARB’s legislative strategy and messaging.
- Design and oversee public affairs campaigns.
- Serve as a strategic liaison between government affairs and key internal teams.
- Represent ARB before policymakers and stakeholders.
- Interpret complex legislation and assess business impacts.
- Oversee ongoing legislative monitoring and analysis.
Requirements
- B.A./B.S. required (J.D. Preferred);
- Minimum of 10 years of public policy/government experience with gaming (casino, sports, iGaming) experience preferred;
- Exceptional communication skills and experience advocating in front of legislators, staff, executive branch officials and policymakers;
- Ability to communicate complex issues simply in writing and verbally for internal and external audiences;
- Ability to quickly learn the complexities of a highly regulated industry, including tax policy, payment operations, and gaming operations;
- Experience building coalitions and working with industry stakeholders to develop consistent goals and strategies for passing legislation;
- Passion for being part of a team and a desire to work hard in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
