About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Help coach and support field leaders and associates in accordance with Aramark standards and site requirements.
  • Partner closely with Aramark Safety & Risk Solutions, Destinations operational leadership (e.g., District/Regional leadership), General Managers, and client/land partners to review, implement, and reinforce Aramark’s SAFE Commitment and SAFE Management System.
  • Serve as an operational support resource to assist locations and site-based management teams in executing against safety standards, regulatory requirements, and contractual obligations as applicable.
  • Support the development and execution of site-level action plans to address workplace safety, food safety, environmental compliance, and guest safety risks.
  • Maintain working relationships with local, state, and federal regulatory authorities as applicable (e.g., health departments; environmental agencies; OSHA; land partner requirements).
  • Coordinate and support site and/or district safety committee / meeting structures, as needed.
  • Conduct internal workplace safety, food safety, and environmental compliance assessments; support follow-up and corrective actions resulting from internal findings or external audits/inspections.
  • Support injury/incident prevention efforts through field engagement, leading/lagging metric review, and coaching management teams (including investigation quality and corrective action effectiveness).
  • Accompany regulatory inspectors during on-site inspections, support response to findings, and assist locations in reducing risk of repeat findings.
  • Help drive a culture of proactive hazard recognition, employee involvement, and timely reporting (including near misses, property damage, environmental releases, and guest incidents).
  • Support implementation and reinforcement of required training and onboarding expectations; coach leaders on practical “how-to” execution in the field.
  • Ensure locations have current Aramark safety standards and documentation available and in use (policies, procedures, programs, and required postings/records) and verify execution through routine field presence.
  • Provide subject matter support for Destinations-specific exposures as applicable, which may include: driving and fleet exposures, remote work risks, hiking/trail operations, marina/boating activities, fuel systems, wastewater/drinking water oversight coordination, wildlife/visitor interaction considerations, and seasonal ramp-up planning.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree required – Safety & Health, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, Public Health, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of occupational safety, environmental health & safety, environmental compliance, and/or food safety experience in a multi-site or field operations environment (hospitality, parks, recreation, facilities, transportation, or similar preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, influence, and partner effectively in a matrix-style environment (supporting operations without solely using an “auditor mindset”).
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to deliver effective training/coaching to both management and hourly teams.
  • Working knowledge of basic regulatory concepts and incident investigation/corrective action practices.
  • Comfort while operating in dynamic environments, including remote locations and seasonal operations.
  • Proficiency with standard computer tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and comfort working with dashboards/metrics and additional progressive Microsoft Suite tools, such as CoPilot, Forms, etc.
  • Ability to travel routinely within the Central to Western U.S. (and additional travel as needed).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (with frequent lifting/carrying up to 25 pounds) and perform field-based work that may require walking uneven terrain, stairs, and active movement through operational areas.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to legally travel as required.
