About the role

  • Will be responsible for the management of the on-site technical team together with the management of sub-contractors to ensure that all PPM, Reactive and Project works are completed to schedule, within budget and to client satisfaction.
  • He/she will have full responsibility for the M&E services for the building(s) under their remit, the H&S of all staff, financial accountability and reporting responsibilities.
  • Manage the on-site technical team to ensure all M&E services are delivered as per SOW and to client’s satisfaction.
  • Provide strong leadership relating to the delivery of all technical services required to support the delivery of facilities services at the client site.
  • Responsibility for all day to day management, control, co-ordination, execution of all operations (either self performed by Aramark or third party supplier) under your remit.
  • Perform fault finding & equipment defect analysis and improvement as required.
  • Prepare and manage operational budgets for the delivery of technical services.
  • Ensure that all plant and equipment meet existing and upcoming legislation and that all equipment is maintained in accordance with best practices and/or manufacturer’s recommendations.
  • Ensure asset PPM plans are up to date at all time and lifecycle information is current.
  • Review technical designs and identify deficiencies that may have a negative impact on the delivery of the facilities function.
  • Review existing plant and equipment to identify where improvements can reduce operational costs and increase energy efficiency.
  • Identify equipment that does not meet existing or upcoming statutory, Health and Safety or environmental regulations.
  • Ensure all staff, contractors and operations comply with H&S requirements, permits are in place and all accident, near misses are reported, investigated and countermeasures implemented.
  • Identify critical spare parts that need to be available at all times, either stocked on site or available from strategic suppliers.
  • Ensure all documentation relating to the delivery of the facilities function is reviewed and updated on a regular basis.
  • Implement a change control process to capture alterations and additions to existing plant and equipment.

Requirements

  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, refrigeration, electrical and electronic systems.
  • 5 ~ 10 years people management experience.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds with leadership skills to effectively motivate and manage staff.
  • Very good IT/computer skills including an understanding of BMS, UPS/Generator, HVAC, Life safety & CMMS systems.
  • Strong background in managing third party suppliers.
  • Familiar with Quality and Safety systems such as ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001.
  • Must remain calm, courteous and polite in all circumstances.
  • Able to function with a high level of initiative and proactivity.
  • Dependable and flexible, able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to handle multiple requests and work in a fast paced and often demanding environment.
  • Customer and client focused - responsive to customer requests in an empathic, supportive and productive manner.
