About the role
- Provides internal/external patrol of buildings and surrounding property
- Locks and unlocks doors to permit entry at appropriate times
- Monitors camera's, alarm systems, access control, and admits appropriate personnel per authorized staff lists
- Conducts ongoing inspections of buildings and grounds to detect safety violations and hazards
- Responds to all emergency situations
- Prepares accurate and complete written reports.
- Protects property and staff by maintaining safe and secure surroundings.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a security officer preferred
- Ability to gather and interpret information
- Knowledgeable in search and seizure, constitutional rights, investigative, and interviewing techniques
- Must hold proper license based on state/local regulations
- Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 25 lb
- May require occasional work on days, nights, overnights, weekends, holidays.
