About the role
- Manage the day-to-day food service operation, delegate tasks, motivate and coach staff
- Oversee the flow of day-to-day operations on the floor and address operational and staffing concerns
- Manage and direct food production planning, waste management, record keeping, and follow up
- Ensure food safety standards and HACCP are followed
- Proactively manage food and labor cost controls
- Recruitment, training, and orientation of staff
- Responsible for staff scheduling and filling shifts as needed
- Responsible for supervising cash handling procedures such as balancing cash float, safe, and deposits
- Other duties as assigned by management from time to time
Requirements
- A minimum of 2-3 years management experience in a food service environment
- Self-directed with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational and team building skills
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and motivate team members
- Knowledge of Microsoft, Excel, Power Point and Word
- Extensive knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards
- Proven ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work flexible hours is essential including evenings and weekends
