About the role
- Oversee all culinary operations within the university’s residential dining program
- Lead menu innovation and ensure exceptional food quality
- Manage culinary staff and collaborate with campus partners
- Establish systems for ordering, receiving, storing, preparing and serving food products
- Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations
- Drive a cohesive dining vision that supports the university's mission
- Recruit, hire, and develop front line team members
- Monitor culinary trends and integrate best practices into daily operations
Requirements
- Requires at least 4 years of experience
- Requires at least 1-3 years of experience in a management role
- Requires previous experience in food service
- Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with other departments
- Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lb.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
