About the role
- Oversight and direct management of the location
- Train, develop and mentor the team and establish succession plans
- Provides direction to the Management team in managing the business
- Provides direction on progressive discipline, labour relations, employee relations, hiring, performance review and pay increases of staff
- Works in conjunction with culinary team regarding culinary requirements for appropriate food handling, preparation and sanitation in respective areas
- Ensures all operating standards are achieved
- Ensures internal promotions are executed in each location
- Establishes and maintains procedures for purchasing, receiving and storage
- Management of departments regarding merchandising, cost control, labour scheduling, staffing and training
- Prepares business plans, budgets and forecasts
- Monitors financial operating results in order to achieve company and client objectives
- Ensures accurate and timely financial reporting for all business sectors
- Develops new initiatives and programs to improve sales and customer satisfaction
- Maintains required records to comply with Aramark and government standards
- Ensure compliance with Human Resources Programs
- Ensure adherence to Aramark’s policies and procedures
- Ensure adherence to Aramark’s Health and Safety Programs
- Supports execution of Aramark Food Management and Labour Management Systems
Requirements
- 5+ years in the Hospitality industry in a management capacity a requirement
- College Diploma in Hospitality Management or related field
- Previous management experience in franchise operations an asset
- Experience with food and labour costing
- Exceptional motivational and coaching skills
- Assertive, professional and positive with ability to lead in a stressful environment
- Proven ability to multitask
- Strong analytical, project planning and financial management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, customers, colleagues and staff.
