About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide field support for Arable’s customers and projects throughout western Nebraska
  • Install, set up, maintain, and remove Arable field devices
  • Visit customer fields to inspect equipment and confirm devices operate properly
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and coordinate with Customer Success or technical teams when needed
  • Assist with seasonal field activities, project setup, installations, maintenance projects, and customer-support needs
  • Communicate with growers, farm managers, and project partners while representing Arable professionally
  • Provide updates, photos, field observations, and other information after site visits
  • Identify potential field issues and communicate them promptly
  • Support the Customer Success team during larger installations and periods of increased field activity
  • Travel throughout western Nebraska as project needs require

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience in agriculture, farming, agronomy, irrigation, crop consulting, agricultural technology, or a related field
  • Familiarity with Nebraska agriculture and farming practices, particularly in western Nebraska
  • Practical, hands-on approach and comfort working independently in agricultural field environments
  • Basic technical aptitude and ability to learn how to install, maintain, and troubleshoot field technology
  • Strong reliability, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate comfortably and professionally with growers and farm managers
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout the region
  • Ability to safely work outdoors in varying weather conditions and access agricultural fields and equipment
  • Flexibility to work varying hours based on seasonal and project needs
  • Degree in agriculture, agronomy, crop science, agricultural engineering, or a related field is helpful but not required if you have relevant practical experience
