About the role
- Define and execute engineering and application development strategy aligned with corporate goals and code reuse.
- Develop and maintain a long-term technology roadmap supporting scalable, secure microservices architecture.
- Foster a high-performance engineering culture focused on quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams delivering solutions primarily in .NET and Go.
- Oversee architecture, solution design, and technical standards to ensure business alignment and technical excellence.
- Own end-to-end QA strategy, including test automation, performance testing, integration testing, and release readiness.
- Drive DevOps maturity, automation, configuration management, and deployment reliability.
- Recruit, mentor, and retain top engineering, architecture, and QA talent while building scalable team structures and career paths.
- Improve organizational capability in planning, estimation, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Establish engineering KPIs, operational frameworks, and Agile best practices to improve delivery predictability.
- Drive structured postmortems and continuous improvement programs.
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Security, Infrastructure, and Business leaders; communicate risks and trade-offs to executives.
- Ensure technology governance, security, compliance, technical debt management, and enterprise risk mitigation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or commensurate work experience required
- 12 years of progressive leadership experience in software engineering or application development within consumer lending, financial services, or fintech environments required
- 7 years of people management experience required
- 3 year of experience in the financial services industry required
- Experience managing teams in the Microsoft development language environments
- Management of Golang, Python, and other languages is preferred
- Sound working knowledge of the software development lifecycle and prioritization of work within an Agile environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Proficient in the utilization of Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced work environment.
