About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, build, and operate scalable compute systems supporting training, inference, and scientific workloads
- Contribute to architecture and design decisions around compute infrastructure, scheduling, and resource management
- Take ownership of key engineering projects, from design through to production and iteration
- Improve system reliability, performance, and observability across compute and infrastructure components
- Collaborate with platform and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and efficient resource usage
- Drive best practices in system design, testing, and operational excellence
- Mentor junior engineers and act as a technical reference within the team
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5-8 years of experience in software engineering with a focus on backend, infrastructure, or platform systems
- Strong proficiency in **Python** and experience building production-grade systems
- Experience with **distributed systems** and **compute-heavy or high-throughput environment**
- Solid understanding of **system design, scalability, and reliability principles**
- Experience working with **cloud infrastructure** (e.g. AWS) and operating systems in production
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Nice‑to‑Have
- Experience with **large-scale compute platforms or infrastructure**
- Exposure to **ML infrastructure or model execution environments**
- Experience with **PyTorch, CUDA**, or running custom models in production
- Experience designing or operating **workflow orchestration systems**
- Track record of optimizing systems for **cost-efficiency at scale**
