About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support implementation and sustainment activities associated with research-related Electronic Health Record (EHR) solutions.
  • Administer surveys and site assessments to identify research study build, maintenance, and sustainment requirements.
  • Gather, document, analyze, and track study-specific requirements, requests, scope changes, and implementation needs.
  • Maintain REDCap databases and ensure project information, survey results, study requirements, and status updates remain accurate and current.
  • Verify, organize, validate, and clean project-related data to support reporting and operational decision-making.
  • Coordinate communication among researchers, study teams, VHA facilities, OSIRES personnel, and other stakeholders.
  • Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, document meeting minutes, track action items, and support follow-up activities.
  • Develop and maintain trackers, status reports, requirement logs, and workflow documentation.
  • Monitor progress of study build and sustainment activities and help ensure timely completion of assigned actions and milestones.
  • Assist in development and refinement of processes, SOPs, job aids, templates, and other operational materials supporting program growth and standardization.
  • Identify issues, risks, and opportunities for process improvement and assist in developing practical solutions.
  • Support stakeholder engagement and coordination activities associated with ongoing EHR deployments and sustainment efforts.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Informatics, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Research Administration, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience supporting program operations, healthcare operations, clinical research operations, EHR implementation, research administration, or related activities
  • Hands-on experience with tools like REDCap, including survey administration, database maintenance, reporting, and data management activities
  • Experience gathering requirements, maintaining tracking systems, coordinating stakeholders, and supporting operational workflows
  • Experience validating, documenting, organizing, and maintaining large datasets
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
