About the role

  • Lead the development of automated test strategies and test cases for eLxr to support Wind River’s growth in new embedded and enterprise market segments
  • Drive improvements to features, tools, workflows, and automation processes
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior team members
  • Contribute ideas and solutions for product enhancements and technical iterations
  • Collaborate effectively with global software engineering teams across multiple time zones

Requirements

  • BE/BTech or ME/MTech in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or related discipline
  • 8+ years of experience in software development, verification, and validation
  • Strong programming skills in C, Python (including design patterns), Go, and familiarity with Debian fundamentals
  • Experience developing automation frameworks or Test Manager solutions
  • Experience working with emulators and virtualized test environments
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and related tooling
  • Ability to create test cases from high‑level and low‑level requirements, including understanding of test input variations
  • Experience using automation frameworks and tools such as LAVA, PyTest, Git, Jira, and Linux‑based development environments
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis - without requirement for any type of visa sponsorship/transfer, now, or at any time in future
  • Must be a local resident of Greater Austin, TX or willing to relocate
