About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design end-to-end product experiences for complex denial prevention workflows – pattern review, rule recommendation, rule enablement, and outcome monitoring
Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that balance usability with clinical and operational complexity
Plan and conduct user research independently – including interviews, usability testing, and feedback synthesis – to inform and validate design decisions
Design data visualizations that communicate denial patterns and actionable insights clearly to non-technical users
Work embedded with Product and Engineering to iteratively deliver and refine solutions
Translate ambiguous product requirements into user-centered designs with clear rationale

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years of experience as a Product Designer in B2B SaaS or healthcare environments
Strong portfolio demonstrating complex workflow design and data visualization – ideally in operational or analytics-driven products
Demonstrated experience conducting user research independently – not just participating in it
Ability to move fluidly from concept to high-fidelity prototype
Strong collaboration skills with engineers and product managers in agile teams
Comfortable operating with ambiguity and limited design infrastructure
Willing to work as a 1099 Contractor
Experience designing healthcare, RCM, or clinical decision support products (Preferred)
Familiarity with denial management, claims workflows, or payer operations (Preferred)
Strong systems thinking – able to design individual screens with the full workflow in mind (Preferred)
Excellent communication and storytelling skills – can present and defend design decisions clearly (Preferred)
