About the role
- Oversee a portfolio of healthcare and professional services clients, ensuring a high standard of client service and satisfaction
- Coordinate with team members to ensure the accurate and timely completion of weekly accounting activities, month-end close processes, and financial reporting
- Review and approve month-end and year-end financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards and client requirements
- Provide proactive, strategic advisory support related to budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to help clients achieve organizational objectives
- Serve as a subject matter expert for complex accounting matters, providing guidance to both clients and internal team members
- Lead, mentor, and develop staff, promoting a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, scalability, and consistency across client engagements
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and best practices to maintain the accuracy and integrity of client financial records
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, tax advisors, and other service providers, to support client needs
- Stay informed of emerging healthcare industry trends and regulatory developments and apply relevant insights to client solutions and team operations
Requirements
- CPA or equivalent professional credential preferred
- Minimum of seven years of experience in an outsourced accounting or professional services environment
- Demonstrated success in business development and client relationship management
- Experience with QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, Xero, NetSuite, BILL, and Fathom preferred
- Ability to effectively collaborate with internal leadership, team members, clients, and external vendors
- Strong project management approach with the ability to manage multiple client engagements consistently
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet established deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
