About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assess client infrastructure independently, identify improvement opportunities, and develop cloud migration and optimisation strategies
  • Execute tasks and set priorities without direct supervision while meeting project timelines
  • Design and implement scalable, resilient, and secure cloud-native solutions
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines, automation, and infrastructure-as-code practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges and support project delivery
  • Engage with clients to understand requirements, explain technical concepts, and recommend cloud solutions
  • Stay current with cloud computing and DevOps trends and contribute to internal knowledge sharing

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • UK Security Clearance eligibility: active SC or eligibility for SC
  • British Passport or Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR)
  • Resided in the UK for at least the last 5 years
  • No criminal records
  • No financial irregularities
  • Intermediate knowledge of continuous integration and deployment practices
  • Experience leading an Engineering Team in Agile and DevOps best practices
  • Ability to collaborate with people of all levels of technical ability
  • Ability to contribute to and mentor on industry best practices
  • Strong people, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in AWS cloud technologies and platforms
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code practices, Terraform or CloudFormation, and scripting languages such as Python or Ruby
  • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and DevOps practices
  • Demonstrated experience in cloud migration, optimisation, or implementation projects
  • Ability to work autonomously, manage tasks, and prioritise workload
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to stay updated on new technologies and industry trends
  • Expert/professional-level cloud certification is highly desirable
  • Kubernetes or Terraform administration certification is desirable
