About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the analytical relationship between the Data Team and Marketing function
- Build and maintain core marketing dashboards, reports, and models
- Analyse visitor-to-trial-to-paid funnels, nurture performance, lifecycle progression, and leading indicators
- Quantify channel and campaign performance, including spend, CAC, payback, pipeline contribution, and retained revenue
- Rebuild and maintain marketing attribution and reconcile platform-reported numbers with warehouse data
- Design and analyse marketing experiments, including landing pages, nurture sequences, pricing, and packaging messages
- Diagnose tracking implementations, cookie and local-storage handling, and referrer behaviour
- Own event taxonomy, Google Tag Manager container, UTM naming standards, tracking QA, dataLayer specifications, and server-side tracking requirements
- Own HubSpot marketing property schema and Marketing KPI and Metrics Glossary definitions
- Define working processes between Data and Marketing, including intake, SLAs, escalation paths, and freshness expectations
- Build self-service dashboards and automated reports using Lightdash, Amplitude, and GA4
- Use LLM-assisted tools and AI coding agents for data exploration, query generation, insight synthesis, and documentation
- Flag data quality issues, participate in triage and agile planning, provide code reviews and technical guidance to junior analysts, and help establish analytics standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4+ years of hands-on experience in a data analyst role, including significant marketing, growth, or GTM funnel analysis for senior stakeholders
- End-to-end ownership of a marketing measurement stack, including attribution modelling, event taxonomy, UTM governance, and platform-to-warehouse reconciliation
- Ability to diagnose existing tracking implementations, including tracking code, cookies, local storage, and referrer handling
- Demonstrated use of AI coding agents and LLM-assisted tools as a core analytical workflow
- Strong SQL skills
- Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, automation, and analysis, with production-quality coding experience
- Hands-on experience with GA4, Google Tag Manager, a CRM (HubSpot strongly preferred), and paid-channel reporting
- Experience with modern BI and product analytics tools such as Lightdash, Looker, or Amplitude
- Experience combining CRM, product, finance, and marketing data
- Ability to communicate findings clearly to senior non-technical audiences through writing, verbal communication, and visualisations
- Experience with metric governance, definitions, ownership, and resolving metric conflicts
- Ability to scope ambiguous questions, state assumptions, and deliver useful analysis before perfect data exists
- Experience in SaaS or B2B, subscription metrics, product-led trial funnels, dbt, server-side tracking, incrementality testing, embedded analytics, LLM application patterns, or mentoring are nice to have
