About the role
- Responsible for financial planning, forecasting, and analysis to guide decision-making, drive efficient growth, and inform and empower leaders.
- Own the Operating Plan, including the company’s financial model and forecasting processes. Continuously refine these models in collaboration with all departments to ensure accuracy, transparency, and strong foundations for strategic decision-making.
- Maintain and analyze SaaS metrics for timely reporting and performance insights.
- Lead the preparation of quarterly Board materials and investor presentations.
- Provide ad hoc financial insights and reporting to executive leadership to support business strategy and growth decisions.
- Partner with Sales leadership, Revenue Operations, and Legal to lead the Deal Desk function, ensuring pricing, contract structuring, and approvals align with company financial goals and risk tolerance.
- Conduct contract review in partnership with Legal; analyze financial impact of proposals and provide real-time guidance to accelerate deal closure in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment.
- Oversee treasury, cash flow management, and internal controls across multiple financial institutions.
- Manage banking relationships, debt facilities, and capital structure to optimize financial flexibility and growth.
Requirements
- 12+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including significant tenure in a SaaS or technology startup environment.
- Deep expertise in financial planning, corporate finance, and compliance.
- Proven track record managing banking relationships, debt, and capital markets.
- Demonstrated success leading a Deal Desk function, including pricing strategy, contract review and structuring, and cross-functional collaboration under pressure.
- Experience in investor relations, fundraising, Board communications, and cap table/equity management.
- Hands-on experience with compensation plan design, commission review, vendor management, and procurement oversight.
- Strong grasp of SaaS financial metrics (ARR, NRR, CAC, LTV, Gross Margin) and revenue recognition standards (ASC 606).
- Excellent analytical, strategic, and communication skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
- A collaborative, hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and can balance strategic vision with operational rigor.
