About the role

  • Feature Ownership: Take full responsibility for testing specific game features. You will analyze the design, create the test plan, execute tests, and verify fixes.
  • Bug Life-cycle Management: Identify, document, and track bugs using project and sprint tracking tools. You will follow up with stakeholders including Game Designers, Artists, Product owners, etc., to ensure the topics you own are resolved.
  • Regression & Performance: Help ensure that new updates don't break existing features and that the game runs smoothly across different hardware.
  • Documentation: Maintain and update internal documentation for the features you oversee and test.

Requirements

  • Self-Starter: You don’t wait for tasks to be assigned. If you see a problem, you investigate it and bring a solution to the table.
  • End-to-End Thinker: You care about the “why” and “how,” not just the “what.” You want to understand how a bug affects the player experience and the production timeline.
  • Gamer at Heart: You have a deep passion for video games and an analytical eye for what makes a game feel polished.
  • Curious & Technical: You are comfortable learning new tools and can dive into the technical side of games to help diagnose issues.
  • Bonus Points: Experience with Jira, Confluence, or other project management tools.
  • Deep passion for AI and automation tooling.
  • Basic knowledge of scripting or game engines.
  • Previous experience in a startup or other fast-paced environment.
