About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the full lifecycle of large-scale capital construction projects in Asia-Pacific
- Provide project leadership and oversight for capital projects at Applied Materials sites in Asia-Pacific
- Manage base build construction and oversee the design and delivery of specialized facility elements
- Coordinate the integration of hazardous materials systems on semiconductor and lab projects
- Navigate regional entitlement processes and serve as the primary liaison between local contractors and authorities
- Engage with local business units to define project requirements and communicate status on scope, schedule, budget, and risk
- Implement and maintain robust project controls
- Deliver executive-level reporting on project status and strategic decisions
- Develop resource plans and lead the due diligence for funding approval
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent field experience
- 10+ years of progressive experience in construction project management, delivering $100M+ capital projects across varied facility types
- Demonstrated knowledge of construction project delivery models and contract types in Asia-Pacific markets
- Clear engineering depth in technically complex building systems
- Demonstrated experience in contract administration and vendor management in a multicultural context
- Fluent business English; Mandarin proficiency is a plus
- Strong executive presence and excellent leadership skills
