About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the full lifecycle of large-scale capital construction projects in Asia-Pacific
Provide project leadership and oversight for capital projects at Applied Materials sites in Asia-Pacific
Manage base build construction and oversee the design and delivery of specialized facility elements
Coordinate the integration of hazardous materials systems on semiconductor and lab projects
Navigate regional entitlement processes and serve as the primary liaison between local contractors and authorities
Engage with local business units to define project requirements and communicate status on scope, schedule, budget, and risk
Implement and maintain robust project controls
Deliver executive-level reporting on project status and strategic decisions
Develop resource plans and lead the due diligence for funding approval

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent field experience
10+ years of progressive experience in construction project management, delivering $100M+ capital projects across varied facility types
Demonstrated knowledge of construction project delivery models and contract types in Asia-Pacific markets
Clear engineering depth in technically complex building systems
Demonstrated experience in contract administration and vendor management in a multicultural context
Fluent business English; Mandarin proficiency is a plus
Strong executive presence and excellent leadership skills
