About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Interpret system level customer and functional requirements to define, design, & develop cost effective hardware solutions
  • Lead, develop, and execute moderately complex design projects
  • Interface with multiple design and manufacturing engineering disciplines
  • Research and development of new technologies
  • Work with Design Team, Marketing, & Legal to ensure proposed solutions meet market requirements
  • Lead small design teams to design and develop automation hardware solutions
  • Own and execute the detailed design of vacuum system components, modules, & systems
  • Problem identification and troubleshooting of complex engineering problems
  • Support System Integration & Manufacturing during assembly and testing
  • Work with vendors to develop new competitive products
  • Provide remote and onsite support to field support personnel
