About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Interpret system level customer and functional requirements to define, design, & develop cost effective hardware solutions
- Lead, develop, and execute moderately complex design projects
- Interface with multiple design and manufacturing engineering disciplines
- Research and development of new technologies
- Work with Design Team, Marketing, & Legal to ensure proposed solutions meet market requirements
- Lead small design teams to design and develop automation hardware solutions
- Own and execute the detailed design of vacuum system components, modules, & systems
- Problem identification and troubleshooting of complex engineering problems
- Support System Integration & Manufacturing during assembly and testing
- Work with vendors to develop new competitive products
- Provide remote and onsite support to field support personnel
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree
