About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the development, monitoring, and continuous improvement of supplier quality performance across Applied Materials’ supply base
- Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and suppliers to ensure components, materials, and processes meet defined quality, reliability, and manufacturability requirements
- Apply data-driven quality methods to analyze supplier performance
- Participate in supplier audits and assessments
- Support root cause analysis and corrective action activities
- Contribute to defining quality requirements, evaluating process capability, reducing risk, and improving yield
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or related field (preferred: Welding Engineering)
- Internship or project experience in quality engineering, manufacturing, machining, or supply chain (preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with interest in metric-driven quality methods
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with industry standards (ISO, etc.) is a plus
- Ability to adapt and grow in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
