About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage a team of sales reps while developing and maintaining your own account base.
- Responsible for the overall productivity and effectiveness of the sales organization.
- Establish sales targets, develop strategic plans, analyze performance metrics.
- Ensure consistent execution of company policies to meet or exceed quotas.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong leadership, negotiation skills and results driven.
- Proven experience as a field sales representative.
- Recruit, hire, train, and mentor sales staff, providing coaching to improve performance.
- Create and implement sales strategies, quotas, and goals to expand the customer base in the assigned district.
- Proven track record of leading and developing Sales teams, vendor engagement-cross functional.
- Technical capacity/mechanical aptitude.
- Experience in flow control industry: pumps, instrumentation with a solid working knowledge of valves and valve automation.
- Business acumen and strategic approach.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, equivalent experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
- Experience in Outside Sales/Account Manager/Territory Manager role within the industrial or flow control marketplace required.
- Background in Sales Management role preferred; demonstrated ability to manage diverse sales teams.
- Background in P & L is helpful.
