About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage regional sales performance and the company's strategic initiatives to meet or exceed corporate objectives
  • Ensure control and monitoring of the sales management process across all staff
  • Coach sales teams to maximize revenue and profit growth
  • Establish and maintain strong customer relationships and develop long-term partnerships
  • Draft and negotiate commercial agreements with clients
  • Support branch managers in maintaining and improving customer service
  • Ensure sound inventory management
  • Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships and develop long-term partnerships
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with employees
  • Prepare annual budgets and operate within the regional budget
  • Prepare monthly sales forecasts
  • Perform performance analyses (NPV, ROI) to justify investment projects
  • Understand financial and operational systems and the impact of actions and decisions on operating profit, operating expenses, cost of sales, overhead, inventory levels, and receivables
  • Work collaboratively with corporate groups such as Technical Service, Finance & Accounting, Strategic Accounts, Human Resources, Marketing, etc.
  • Identify and resolve potential issues in their early stages
  • Analyze economic conditions and develop/execute contingency plans
  • Keep senior management informed of progress and issues on a regular basis
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and produce required reports

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University degree in one of the following fields: Business Administration, Engineering
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in industrial sales
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in sales and operations management
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Valid driver's license
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Strong understanding of costs, pricing, and commercial and technical practices
