About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design the strategy and drive the execution of target vertical market programs within key strategically identified growth industries
  • Stay current with market trends, key industry investments and maintain market knowledge of focus industries
  • Coordinate and lead marketing programs, and customer campaigns with goals of increasing Applied’s market share and segment leadership in the industry
  • Create and drive sales enablement tools, training and marketing collateral jointly with other departments to support overall field sales execution
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, digital, corporate communications, sales, supply chain and manufacturers to create best-in-class targeted marketing and lead generation
  • Participate in aligned associations and trade shows with the key industries
  • Proactive analysis and review of company performance in key vertical markets
  • Direct customer interaction to identify opportunities for increased sales and to support sales team during presentations and proposals

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or sales and marketing-related focus
  • 5 + years of sales or marketing-related work experience, specifically within target industries preferred
  • Knowledge and or experience in key industries such as aggregate, cement, and mining, metals mining, water, and wastewater treatment
  • Proven results in analyzing data and trends to create relevant and actionable business insights
  • Strong Microsoft skills, including spreadsheet management, pivot tables, Power BI, PowerPoint, and Word
