Key responsibilities & impact- Perform field commissioning activities for transformers, electrical switchgear, UPS units, STS units, PDUs, electrical distribution equipment, EPMS, and BMS
- Analyze commissioning performance, productivity, quality, resource utilization, and scheduling data
- Identify operational inefficiencies and develop data-driven solutions
- Translate field problems into business, process, and technology requirements
- Develop dashboards, KPIs, reports, and analytical tools
- Analyze workflows for standardization, automation, and improved resource utilization
- Support development and evolution of Magellan Cx
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, trade partners, commissioning agents, and stakeholders
- Conduct client meetings, project reviews, and operational check-ins
- Support project delivery, client retention, additional scope, retrofits, expansions, and partnerships
- Represent Apollo in client-facing and public-facing environments
- Support presentations, capability statements, client updates, and engagement materials
- Gather and communicate client feedback
- Implement and measure Lean, Six Sigma, Kizan, and continuous-improvement initiatives
- Test field processes and technologies and recommend scalable solutions
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive commissioning and operational processes
- Connect field commissioning teams with corporate operations and strategy
- Convert field knowledge into training materials, standards, procedures, and technology requirements
- Support training and development on standardized commissioning processes and operational technologies
- Work nights and/or weekends as needed for data center construction and commissioning activities
- Travel approximately 90% or more to client locations
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of experience in data center commissioning, technical operations, construction, electrical/mechanical engineering, or related business or financial analysis
- Field-first mindset and willingness to perform the work directly
- Analytical mindset focused on data, trends, root causes, and measurable outcomes
- Continuous-improvement mindset
- Comfort learning and implementing new tools and systems
- Understanding of how field execution impacts cost, schedule, quality, customer experience, and profitability
- Ability to influence field and corporate teams without relying solely on positional authority
- Adaptability across construction sites, commissioning environments, and corporate strategy/innovation functions
- Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, and Excel-based trackers
- Ability to work nights and/or weekends as needed
- Successful background check, including pre-employment drug screening
- US citizenship, permanent residency, or eligibility to work in the US
- Ability to meet physical demands including working in confined spaces, ascending/descending stairs and ladders, exposure to outdoor elements, and occasionally moving equipment up to 50 pounds
