About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Document current-state storage architectures and data flows, including dependencies and constraints
  • Support the design of future-state cloud storage architectures aligned with NASIC Enterprise Architecture
  • Develop high-level migration plans for transitioning legacy storage to cloud-based environments
  • Coordinate with mission stakeholders to ensure secure and operationally effective storage solutions
  • Identify storage-related risks and recommend mitigations
  • Contribute to the monthly Cloud Storage Migration Posture Report describing data flows, transition status, and recommendations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in systems engineering, data engineering, or storage architecture
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field; OR six (6) additional years of work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree; OR four (4) additional years of work experience plus an Associate’s degree may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience designing or supporting storage solutions (on-premises or cloud) for complex systems
  • Understanding of data security, encryption, and access control principles
  • Ability to generate clear architectural diagrams and technical documentation
  • Preferred: Experience with cloud-native storage (e.g., object storage, data lakes) in DoD/IC environments
  • Preferred: Familiarity with data migration planning and execution for large datasets
  • Preferred: Experience integrating storage solutions with analytics and IA/AI/ML workflows
