About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Document current-state storage architectures and data flows, including dependencies and constraints
Support the design of future-state cloud storage architectures aligned with NASIC Enterprise Architecture
Develop high-level migration plans for transitioning legacy storage to cloud-based environments
Coordinate with mission stakeholders to ensure secure and operationally effective storage solutions
Identify storage-related risks and recommend mitigations
Contribute to the monthly Cloud Storage Migration Posture Report describing data flows, transition status, and recommendations

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must be a US citizen
Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in systems engineering, data engineering, or storage architecture
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field; OR six (6) additional years of work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree; OR four (4) additional years of work experience plus an Associate’s degree may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree
Experience designing or supporting storage solutions (on-premises or cloud) for complex systems
Understanding of data security, encryption, and access control principles
Ability to generate clear architectural diagrams and technical documentation
Preferred: Experience with cloud-native storage (e.g., object storage, data lakes) in DoD/IC environments
Preferred: Familiarity with data migration planning and execution for large datasets
Preferred: Experience integrating storage solutions with analytics and IA/AI/ML workflows
