About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Evaluates and recommends programs and development plans, utilizing professional knowledge of multi-discipline engineering.
- Works with organizational managers, budget personnel, and engineering authorities to develop and gain approval for proposed projects.
- Provides inputs for status briefings to leadership, outlining assigned programs and projects.
- Supports technical evaluation elements of market surveys conducted in conjunction with assigned projects and programs.
- Supports government counterparts regarding the adequacy and clarity of engineering and analysis processes based on daily application of the processes and agency reporting requirements.
- Provides advanced inputs for status briefings to leadership, outlining assigned programs, projects, problems, and recommended resolution.
- Analyzes trends in performance indicators to assist government counterparts with managing Agency-level performance indicators, recommending corrective action, establishing lessons learned, and influencing the improvement of processes.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be a US citizen
- Must have and be able to maintain a Top Secret clearance with SCI Eligibility
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering field
- 10 years of systems engineering or systems integration experience in support of acquisition programs
- Experience in US Navy or commercial submarine, submersible, or Naval ship design, construction or certification, and testing processes and criteria preferred
- Experience preparing, reviewing, and interpreting design concepts and ability to convey ideas and formulate working drawings using computer-aided design systems
- Experience developing test requirements and overall objectives and preparing test plans to meet the requirements of the project
- Experience in the principles, practices, and policies of professional engineering program management to include program planning and budget cycles, and financial control/budgeting systems.
