About the role
- Apply comprehensive knowledge of principles, policies and practices of systems acquisition and program management
- Provide project management oversight of efforts, tasks, studies, and engineering recommendations of the prime contractor to meet contractual requirements
- Apply knowledge of qualitative and quantitative techniques for gathering, analyzing, and measuring the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of acquisition programs
- Ability to work in a test environment and deploy modernization efforts to multiple sites/sides/strings
- Support activities that assist the Branch Chief in assessing what programs are within schedule and cost baselines
- Recommend viable solutions to problems and the pursuit of alternative courses of action
- Effectively communicate verbally, in written communications, and in briefings to senior leadership
- Provide quality acquisition and program documentation
- Ability to coordinate staff packages, including, but not limited to, public affairs products.
- Manage reviews, updates, and recommended changes to the prime contractors' Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Integrated Management Schedule (IMS).
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must have an active DoD Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
- Twelve (12) years of experience in the respective technical discipline, including five (5) years of DoD experience; OR, Master’s in a related field and ten (10) years of experience in the respective technical discipline, including five (5) years of DoD experience
- Possesses advanced knowledge and experience in Air Force or Space Force acquisitions
- Knowledge of DoD contracting processes and policies, and Sentinel/GSA Contracts/TDLs
- Possess the ability to perform tasks and oversee the efforts of junior and mid-level personnel within the technical/professional discipline
- Ability to manage multiple Prime contractors, multiple Contracts/TDLs at multiple locations/sites
- Experience working on multiple codependent projects simultaneously
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of their technical/professional discipline, as well as possess a comprehensive understanding and ability to apply associated standards, procedures, and practices in their area of expertise.
