About the role

  • Business Development activities including:
  • - Developing a sales-call plan for named target accounts
  • - Have sale call specific objectives
  • - Conduct face-to-face and other communication protocol discussions with prospects at all levels in their organization
  • - Following up on commitments and issues that arise during sales calls
  • - Communicate customer and competitive developments that relate to assigned sales territory and the company
  • - Manage CRM activities
  • - Develop and close business with each customer assigned
  • Support CRM activities including updating of calendars, opportunity pipeline, customer profile information, contact information and other tasks.
  • Lead business development effort:
  • - Organizing cross functional resources needed
  • - Maintain professional and technical knowledge by participating in local trade, professional and civic associations as a representative of the company; reviews professional publications’ establishes networks
  • - Lead/Participate in the post sales implementation team

Requirements

  • Preferred Minimum 7 years of industry experience, and experience in professional selling capacity, with national account experience
  • Intimate knowledge of the US Intermodal network and service offerings
  • Proven customer service skills are required in order to create, maintain and enhance customer relationships
  • Must be able to communicate and interact and interact effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds
  • Working knowledge of PC-based applications and Electronic Information Systems
  • Exceptional negotiation skills, MS Office applications and general administrative functions
