About the role
- Business Development activities including:
- - Developing a sales-call plan for named target accounts
- - Have sale call specific objectives
- - Conduct face-to-face and other communication protocol discussions with prospects at all levels in their organization
- - Following up on commitments and issues that arise during sales calls
- - Communicate customer and competitive developments that relate to assigned sales territory and the company
- - Manage CRM activities
- - Develop and close business with each customer assigned
- Support CRM activities including updating of calendars, opportunity pipeline, customer profile information, contact information and other tasks.
- Lead business development effort:
- - Organizing cross functional resources needed
- - Maintain professional and technical knowledge by participating in local trade, professional and civic associations as a representative of the company; reviews professional publications’ establishes networks
- - Lead/Participate in the post sales implementation team
Requirements
- Preferred Minimum 7 years of industry experience, and experience in professional selling capacity, with national account experience
- Intimate knowledge of the US Intermodal network and service offerings
- Proven customer service skills are required in order to create, maintain and enhance customer relationships
- Must be able to communicate and interact and interact effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds
- Working knowledge of PC-based applications and Electronic Information Systems
- Exceptional negotiation skills, MS Office applications and general administrative functions
