About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage incoming service of process notifications and legal correspondence
  • Receive, distribute, and track incoming property & auto claims, Federal and State Agency Charges/Complaints, and new litigation matters
  • Create and maintain case-management database entries and other records
  • Gather, organize, and maintain all legal documents related to cases
  • Assist in drafting release agreements, coordinate payments, as needed
  • Provide general office support, including but not limited to calendaring deadlines and scheduling meetings
  • Communicate with outside counsel, opposing counsel, inside customers, and witnesses
  • Assist with case-specific document/file requests and production
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5–7 years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal (preferred) in a law firm or corporate legal department
  • General knowledge of corporate structure, court filing procedures (state & federal), and document formatting
  • Familiarity with litigation procedures and terminology
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software (e.g., iManage, Relativity, Westlaw, or similar)
  • Excellent time management, organization, and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively under tight deadlines
  • In-house experience preferred, but not necessary
  • High school diploma or GED (minimum requirement)
  • Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certification
