About the role
- Process weekly payroll in ADP based on submissions from branch locations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare payroll sheets, reconcile data, and process manual checks as needed.
- Drive accurate and efficient payroll processes that minimize errors and adjustments.
- Support payroll-related reporting (401k, journal entries, etc.).
- Collaborate with HR and accounting teams on special projects and integrations.
- Assist in onboarding and integrating new companies into payroll processes and ADP templates.
- Provide excellent customer service when addressing payroll questions from internal teams.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Support accounting with clerical tasks when not engaged in payroll processing.
Requirements
- 1+ year of experience in payroll processing, accounting, or a similar function.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups, formulas/functions required).
- Experience with ADP preferred; accounting experience a plus.
- High attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to notice and resolve discrepancies in payroll data.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; tactful, professional, and customer-service oriented.
- Curious, adaptable, and enthusiastic with a willingness to learn new systems and processes.
