Senior Sales Manager
Apex PartnersApex Partners seeks a Senior Sales Manager to develop investor strategies for private equity funds. Role involves relationship management and market analysis in the financial sector.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and execute the commercial strategy to attract investors to the company's private equity funds.
- Identify and approach potential qualified investors — entrepreneurs, family offices, private investors (HNWI/UHNWI), investment companies and other eligible investors.
- Manage the entire commercial relationship process, from initial prospecting to fund subscription, keeping the pipeline up to date and continuously following up on opportunities.
- Develop long-term relationships with investors, ensuring a high level of engagement and service.
- Present the funds' investment strategies — including opportunities, risks and characteristics — in coordination with the investment team.
- Organize and participate in meetings, events, conferences and networking initiatives aimed at identifying new investors.
- Collaborate with the Investor Relations, Investments, Marketing and Compliance teams in preparing presentations and commercial documentation.
- Monitor the evolution of the private equity market, identify investor segments with the greatest potential and ensure compliance with applicable regulations for fund marketing and the company's internal procedures.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 7 years of commercial experience in the financial sector, preferably in raising investors for investment funds, asset management, private banking or private equity.
- Own, active and well-established network of contacts in the Porto and Northern Portugal region — entrepreneurs, private investors, family offices, consultants and other relevant intermediaries.
- Proven track record of raising investors, managing relationships with qualified investors and achieving commercial targets.
- Business development and long-term relationship skills: strong ability to build and sustain trusted commercial relationships.
- Communication, negotiation and influence: high professional credibility and the ability to generate trust with investors.
- Results-oriented, autonomous and entrepreneurial: conducts commercial operations with proactivity and a focus on objectives.
- Strong ethics, discretion and organization: handles sensitive information confidentially and manages priorities methodically.
