About the role

  • The GDOT IT Project Manager will assist in the management of multiple internal and external end to end technical projects, documentation, and processes
  • Assist with implementing process improvement, documentation management, organization, and project guidelines to ensure project follow through, timeliness, and accuracy
  • Local candidates. Hybrid work schedule. Experience with Workday HCM applications highly desirable
  • Core competencies: Communication; Attention to Detail; Organization; Flexibility; Data Visualization Creation and Analysis
  • Responsibilities: collaborate with other project managers, clients, vendors, and engineering teams; understand and apply Agile, Kanban and Scrum practices; prepare project charter and kickoff presentations; maintain project boards and dashboards using Jira and ServiceNow
  • Responsibilities continued: maintain project status and roadmaps; adhere to defined project structure standards; draft process and 'how to' documentation; identify constraints, risks and areas for process improvement; reinforce priorities, policies, and best practices
  • Utilize project management software: SharePoint Project Template, Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, Project Online; maintain, update, and archive project documentation; schedule meetings and generate meeting notes

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of project management in technology
  • Experience with Workday HCM applications (highly desirable)
  • Some college experience or applicable certifications (preferred) or college degree (preferred)
  • Highly proficient in writing and editing
  • Knowledge of Agile practices and ability to use Kanban and Scrum
  • Experience with Jira, ServiceNow, Confluence, SharePoint Project Template, Project Online
  • Ability to create dashboards and perform data visualization and analysis
  • Strong communication, attention to detail, organization, and flexibility
  • Ability to draft process and 'how to' documentation
  • Familiarity with Outlook scheduling assistant and meeting facilitation
  • Ability to identify project constraints, risks, inefficiencies, and improve processes
