Key responsibilities & impact

Lead and oversee the development and execution of data science & AI projects.
Define the technical roadmap and vision for data science initiatives.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of data scientists.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data science solutions into existing systems.
Design and implement advanced statistical models, algorithms, and machine learning techniques.
Stay up to date with the latest advancements in data science and guide the team.
Present complex findings and insights to executive stakeholders.
Lead the evaluation and adoption of new technologies and methodologies.
Collaborate with external partners and research institutions.
Analyse large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and insights.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
Extensive experience in data science, statistical analysis, machine learning, and AI.
Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python.
In-depth knowledge of advanced statistical modelling techniques, experimental design, and hypothesis testing.
Expertise in machine learning techniques, including deep learning, ensemble methods, time series analysis, and reinforcement learning.
Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms, specifically Snowflake, Databricks, and Azure.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Proven experience in leading and managing data science projects and teams.
Ability to drive the strategic direction of data science initiatives.
A good understanding of AI technologies such as Agentic AI, LLMs, and Prompt Engineering.
