About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Supervise and direct preparation of design and construction bid documents for transportation roadway projects involving multi-modal accommodations, including corridor, intersection, and downtown improvements
- Present effectively at client and public meetings
- Maintain project financials, budgets, schedules, and project advancement
- Manage and mentor staff, provide guidance, manage workloads, and resolve issues
- Prepare project scopes and budgets for proposals and contracts
- Maintain communication with clients, including municipalities and regional agencies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering
- 12+ years of experience in the transportation engineering field, including roadway design and project management
- Broad understanding of transportation design and planning standards, including state agency standards and submission processes such as MassDOT, RIDOT, or NHDOT
- Professional Engineering License
- Demonstrated effectiveness in planning and managing projects and maintaining budgets and schedules
- Skilled at building and maintaining positive client relations
- Desire for personal and firm growth
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment
- Effective at managing and mentoring staff
- Strong AutoCAD and Civil 3D skills
