Manage multiple projects under the State of Florida Petroleum Restoration Program. Must have direct experience conducting site assessments and knowledge of remediation technologies at petroleum-impacted sites. Strong report writing skills are essential.
Manage multiple private-client projects; demonstrate expertise in site assessment and remediation of contaminated media at impacted sites. Prepare due diligence (ASTM Phase I/Phase II) reports and mentor staff through due diligence projects. Must have experience conducting due diligence inspections.
Possess a thorough understanding of FDEP SOP protocols related to environmental sampling techniques and demonstrate direct experience with these sampling procedures. Serve as field operations leader mentoring junior staff through the collection of soil, water, and/or air samples utilizing different sampling techniques.
Prepare FL-specific regulatory reports.
Provide quality assurance/quality control document reviews.
Assistance with the preparation of proposals and scopes of work.
Project fiscal management of FDEP projects and private client projects/portfolios.
Actively develop your own career growth with opportunities to assist with field and reporting tasks.
Collaborate directly with staff and management-level team members with field and reporting responsibilities.
Requirements
BS in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, Engineering or another related field.
5-10 years of experience with environmental field sampling, data collection, and due diligence report preparation.
Prefer candidates with Professional Geologist license obtained or on track to obtain.
Experience with the State of Florida Petroleum Restoration Program, Florida Regulations, and Standard Operating Procedures. Ability to manage multiple projects within contract requirements.
The ability to successfully multi-task, safety awareness, and a good record and understanding of safe work practices.
40-hour HAZWOPER certification preferred.
Light construction experience/direct skills a plus.
Valid driver's license, safe driving history and reliable transportation are required.
Strong communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
Prefer candidates in Central to N. FL region (Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, or Tallahassee).
Willing to travel as needed.
