CAD Designer
Apex Companies, LLCCAD/GIS Technician creating 2D/3D drawings for municipal infrastructure projects at Apex Companies. Collaborating with engineers and project managers to ensure accurate project delivery.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drafting & Modeling: Create, update, and maintain detailed 2D and 3D drawings using Revit, AutoCAD Plant 3D, or similar design software.
- Project Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and project managers to interpret project requirements and translate them into accurate design documents.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all drawings and models comply with industry standards, municipal specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Documentation & File Management: Maintain organized project files, revise drawings as needed, and assist in preparing documentation packages for client and regulatory approvals.
- Technical Support: Assist with data collection, field measurements, and design modifications to ensure design accuracy and consistency.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with new drafting technologies, software updates, and industry best practices to enhance efficiency and quality.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD Plant 3D, or similar 3D modeling and drafting software.
- 5 + years experience with municipal infrastructure projects (e.g., water/wastewater, site utilities, structural layouts) preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality, accurate drawings.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
- Associate’s degree (A.S.) in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred but not required; equivalent work experience will be considered.
- Sponsorship not available now or in the future.
