Environmental Project Engineer

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare due diligence (ASTM Phase I/Phase II) reports and mentor staff through due diligence projects.
- Gather, analyze, and interpret technical data.
- Prepare environmental technical reports.
- Mentor staff through the collection of soil, soil vapor, water, and/or air samples utilizing different sampling techniques.
- Prepare Florida-specific regulatory reports, environmental site assessments, and assist projects through remediation.
- Assistance with the preparation of proposals and scopes of work.
- Actively develop your own career growth with opportunities to assist with field and reporting tasks.
- Work directly with staff and management-level team members with field and reporting responsibilities.
Requirements
What you’ll need- BS in Environmental Engineering or other related field.
- Eligible for Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
- 4+ years of experience with environmental field sampling, data collection, and technical report preparation.
- Experience with Florida-specific environmental programs and familiarity with South Florida hydrogeology.
- The ability to successfully multi-task, strong safety awareness, and a good record and understanding of safe work practices.
- 40-hour HAZWOPER certification preferred.
- Light remediation construction experience/hands-on skills a plus.
- Valid driver's license, good driving history and reliable transportation are required.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Sponsorship not available now or in the future.
- Reside in S. Florida
