About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work on the design of small to large transportation infrastructure design projects in an efficient manner.
Coordinate the preparation of construction bid documents consisting of plans, specifications and estimates.
Participate in meetings with clients and the public.
Assist Senior Project Engineers and Project Managers in monitoring labor budgets.
Participate in professional organizations.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline
EIT or Professional Engineering License preferred
2-5 years of related transportation engineering experience as a consulting engineer, providing design of local agency or state transportation projects.
A solid understanding of civil/transportation design and construction standards
Complete Streets treatments experience a plus
A proven history of multi-tasking and meeting project timelines and budgets.
Ability to develop creative engineering solutions within project constraints.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with clients, staff and management
Experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
