Employee accident prevention: execute a variety of occupational safety projects from start to finish.
Conduct workplace/shop floor employee injury exposure assessments and safety program management effectiveness evaluations and continuous improvement support.
Provide project leadership and project management functions for assigned safety projects.
Complete and manage a broad Safety Risk Analysis: classify and document employee injury exposures and safety risks in production spaces/buildings and create/post risk-specific signage by department.
Provide comprehensive occupational safety and health consulting services to clients.
Conduct reviews of existing safety and health programs for regulatory compliance or effectiveness.
Conduct shop floor observations focused on identifying, assessing and risk-ranking employee exposures to injury.
Devise solution options aimed at mitigating employee injury exposures and provide hands-on assistance with implementation.
Monitor the effectiveness of implemented solutions and track/analyze clients’ employee injury experience for trends and prevention activities.
In collaboration with Apex project managers, coordinate and execute industrial safety projects within procedures and standards.
Design, implement and execute agreed-to service plans with external customers; monitor and report progress and work with stakeholders to achieve project velocity.
Act as an advisor to customers on occupational safety issues and provide input for potential new EHS projects and business development activities.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum 10+ years of experience required, working in the occupational safety / employee accident prevention field.
Desirable, but not required: Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) professional accreditation.
Experience in manufacturing-&-assembly industries / heavy industry settings a plus.
Experience in the aerospace and defense or automotive industry a further plus.
Experience working in, populating, and extracting data from EHS ‘Data Warehouse’ type software applications (examples: Enablon; GenSuite; Origami, Intelex)
Possess an extensive knowledge of occupational safety technical subject matter and how to apply it in real-life settings.
