About the role
- Process and review payroll for employees across multiple divisions and employee groups
- Accurately review, audit, and validate employee timesheets, including manual timesheet reviews
- Understand and apply various pay types (regular, overtime, double time, prevailing wage, PTO, bonuses, retro pay, etc.)
- Ensure payroll compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and labor laws
- Prepare, review, and submit prevailing wage reports, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance
- Monitor and resolve payroll discrepancies, variances, and employee inquiries in a timely manner
- Collaborate closely with HR, Accounting, IT, and department leaders to ensure accurate employee data and payroll processing
- Support payroll audits and maintain accurate payroll records and documentation
- Communicate clearly and professionally with employees, supervisors, and leadership regarding payroll-related matters
- Assist with payroll process improvements and support special projects or additional tasks as assigned
- Be available to work during holidays and critical payroll periods to ensure timesheets are reviewed, and payroll deadlines are met
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of payroll processing experience including prevailing wage
- Experience working with payroll systems and timekeeping platforms
- High school diploma or equivalent
