About the role
- Ideate and pitch multiple story ideas per week
- Write and fact-check 3-5 articles per week, ranging from trending news stories to SEO-driven features
- Source leads for additional content creation
- Refresh archival SEO content, following best practices for optimization and editorial standards
- Help create and build additional content, as needed
- Attend Dorm Therapy team meetings
- Help monitor and report on analytics
Requirements
- Current student majoring in journalism, communications, or other relevant subject
- Strong writing and fact-checking skills, including the ability to speak to college student readers like a friend
- An astute awareness of internet trends, pop culture, and other topics related to our Dorm Therapy audience
- Detail-oriented in writing, communication, and organization
- Ability to balance multiple priorities, and to adjust strategy and execution in the face of new information
- Comfort working within technical systems/content management systems (CMS)
