About the role

  • Support commissioning and startup activities for utility-scale solar (PV) projects
  • Act as the Owner's representative to oversee commissioning execution, compliance, and reporting
  • Prepare and coordinate: PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) testing, GIA (Generator Interconnection Agreement) testing, ISO/grid compliance testing
  • Develop and manage commissioning schedules aligned with mechanical completion milestones
  • Coordinate energy forecasting and grid notifications (AVR/AGC) with: Control centers, Customers, Grid operators
  • Review and analyze system performance data to identify deficiencies and ensure optimal plant operation
  • Support SCADA and IT teams with system checks and validation of: HMI functionality, Alarm systems, Data accuracy
  • Collaborate with contractors and vendors to track commissioning progress and ensure quality execution
  • Support critical system checkout processes and alarm validations

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in utility-scale solar or power generation commissioning
  • Strong knowledge of PV systems, including: Inverters, Trackers, Transformers, Substations, SCADA systems
  • Experience working with grid operators such as: Transmission Operators, Independent System Operators (ISO), Balancing Authorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office / O365
