About the role
- Responsible for the project’s success from a field level; serve as the field quarterback for NextEra
- Spend more time at the computer than in the field, coordinating contractors and project management
- Ensure compliance with permits, SWPPP, QA/QC, schedules, and contractor safety plans
- Monitor environmental constraints, outage and crossing coordination, and liaise with land agents
- 12 months position supporting construction of clean energy infrastructure for a large electric utility company (solar, wind, grid modernization)
Requirements
- Know your contract documents and contractor SAFETY PLAN
- Read and know permits, road use agreements, crossing agreements, SWPPP, haul routes, drawings, material, schedule, QA/QC, submittals
- Develop a good relationship with the contractor and be engaged in the project
- Monitor environmental constraints before/during work activities (SWPPP)
- Stay involved in outage/crossing coordination
- Utilize land agents for planning, difficult landowners, information about landowners and land agreements
- Act as the bridge between the field and the Project Manager; strong communication and coordination skills
