About the role
- This role is responsible for Credit Risk Infrastructure which helps the business in growth and momentum activities whilst reducing credit risk for the bank.
- Maximise operational collections effectiveness and efficiency whilst optimising bad debt charge across Retail & SBB portfolios.
- Execute day-to-day activities to support the implementation of risk policy & strategy governing the management of loans in arrears, balancing, customer, shareholder and regulatory objectives.
- The role focuses on all segments of the arrears portfolio apart from Hardship and Loss Recoveries.
Requirements
- Strong analytical, numerical, research and problem-solving proven ability to turn data into information and information into actionable business decision strategy.
- Proven technical capabilities and experience with data analytics/science and/or decision systems techniques and tools (e.g., SAS, SQL, R, Python, PowerCurve, AbInitio, etc.).
- At least five years’ experience in risk management, managed strategies for both retail and commercial products (3+ products).
- Skilled at the use of facts in discussions and communication with staff and peers.
- Excellence in presenting highly complex problems and processes in simple terms that are easily consumed by a broad range of stakeholders, adjusting the level of messaging to suit the audience.
- Well-developed written and oral skills with ~60% of role behavioural, stakeholder engagement evident, executive presence a strength, 40% of the role technical (having already exhibited experience in previous technical roles via individual’s career path).
