About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Contribute to the technical strategy and design for the autonomy software architecture
Lead and develop core robotics algorithms to expand our autonomous operational envelope
Triage customer issues, recognize trends, and rapidly improve system resilience
Write, deploy, and maintain highly efficient C++ and Python software for the autonomy stack
Serve as a mentor and collaborator, guiding junior engineers
Evaluate cutting-edge algorithms and solutions to push the boundaries of autonomous performance
Drive continuous improvement of software performance and manage strategic partnerships

Requirements

What you’ll need

University degree in engineering or science with a focus on computer science, electrical engineering or robotics
A proven track record in robotics engineering-related development projects.
Proven experience leading software changes, contributing to technical strategy, and mentoring junior engineers.
Strong understanding of autonomous systems, including: motion planning, state estimation, behaviour‑based control, path planning, mission planning & execution
Strong knowledge of embedded Linux systems, including interface to sensors, actuators and peripherals
Extensive experience with ROS/ROS2 and a strong understanding of robotics algorithms such as locomotion, SLAM, or perception.
Proactive and solution-oriented behaviour, working towards a goal and achieving outcomes
Excellent communication skills in English.
