About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, and maintain features of the Ally product
Communicate and partner cross-functionally with teams in product and software development
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to advancing engineering best practices on the team
Work on an ethical product, using Scala for the backend and JavaScript for the frontend
Run applications in the AWS cloud and use Git for version control
Collaborate with colleagues around the globe

Requirements

What you’ll need

5-7 years of relevant professional experience
Frontend development experience in Angular/TypeScript
Familiarity with the full-cycle development process
Experience developing, building, testing, deploying, and operating applications
Experience working with cloud technologies
Experiencing mentoring junior engineers
Awareness of how distributed systems work
Experience with backend programming languages (e.g. Java, JavaScript, C#, Python, etc.)
Willingness to break things and make them work again
Fluency in written and spoken English.
