About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support clients in setting and implementing forest-positive strategies and deforestation-free supply chains.
  • Identify and manage nature DIROs (dependencies, impacts, risks, and opportunities).
  • Ensure high-quality and timely delivery of all assigned tasks.
  • Support clients in interpreting and operationalizing EUDR requirements, including due diligence systems, traceability, geolocation, and risk assessments.
  • Advise on SBTN target setting (particularly the No Conversion of Natural Ecosystems target), including baseline development, target pathways, and implementation planning.
  • Provide technical advisory on forest-risk commodities, land-use change, and ecosystem conversion, including risk screening, hotspot analysis, and mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct nature-related dependencies, impacts, risks, and opportunities (DIRO) assessments aligned with TNFD and leading market practices.
  • Build trusted advisor relationships with clients to support strategic decision-making.
  • Help organizations embed forest and nature considerations into core business strategies, procurement, and investment decisions.
  • Support clients in developing traceability systems, supplier engagement programs, and data frameworks to meet regulatory and voluntary disclosure requirements.
  • Apply geospatial, supply chain, or commodity-level data analysis where relevant.
  • Translate complex technical content into clear, credible disclosures and narratives.
  • Support reporting frameworks such as CDP Forests, TNFD, and integrated ESG disclosures.
  • Contribute to proposals and client pitches, particularly in areas related to EUDR readiness, SBTN target setting, and forest-positive strategies.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of experience in sustainability, with a specific focus on forestry, land use, or forest-risk commodity supply chains.
  • Demonstrated experience with the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) or similar due diligence frameworks (e.g., traceability, geolocation, and risk assessment).
  • Familiarity with SBTN (Science Based Targets Network), particularly land and freshwater targets, as well as the No Conversion of Natural Ecosystems target.
  • Experience conducting or supporting nature-related risk assessments (DIRO) aligned with TNFD or similar frameworks.
  • Deep understanding of forest-positive strategies, no-deforestation/no-conversion commitments, and supply chain transformation.
  • Familiarity with the Accountability Framework initiative (AFi) guidance and its practical implementation.
  • Ability to interpret and apply supply chain, geospatial, or commodity-level datasets (experience with traceability platforms or satellite data is a strong plus).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-relevant insights.
  • Experience working with multinational clients across key sectors such as FMCG, retail, agriculture, and financial services.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset, with the comfort and ability to work effectively across diverse teams and geographies.
  • Passionate about accelerating nature-positive and deforestation-free outcomes.
  • Fluency in both Spanish and English (written and verbal) is strictly required for client delivery.
  • Additional language capabilities are highly preferred to support global and regional client engagements.
